Friends of the Library

The official auxiliary of the Library. Friends help raise money for the Library through the sale of our surplus books, bake sales, sale of library bags, and many other ways. Friends are a chartered, integral part of our Library. Friends need the physical help and presence of new members. Join today!

Books, books on tape, magazines and VHS and DVD's for the whole family
With over 30,000 items in the collection you are sure to find something of interest. The library collection is searchable through the online catalog so you can find what you need quickly and easily.

Story Time
is held Fridays from 11 am - 12 noon.  Stories, games, crafts and much more fun.


Discovery Packs -
"Packed" and ready to go makes it fun and easy for families to check out reading and learning materials. Activity packs include a storybook and read-along audio tape.

Children's Room
The Library has a large  collection of storybooks, videos and learning activities for kids of all ages. Each summer the Library sponsors a Summer Reading program.

Used Book Store
provided through the time and effort of Friends, volunteers and the generous donations of patrons - Opened March 2003, all proceeds from sales benefit the Library through purchases of equipment and books.

Other Services

Kramm Nursing Home & Upper Northumberland Senior Action Center
Books, large-print books, books on tape and videos are available to at both locations
 from a library cart. Books are rotated on a monthly basis and videos on a weekly basis
by library staff and volunteers. 

Meeting Room 

The Library's meeting room is available for community activities and for literacy tutoring.
Please check with Library staff for detailed policy on the meeting room.

Access Pennsylvania
Patrons may use their Library card with the ACCESS Pennsylvania sticker at other 
participating libraries in Pennsylvania.

Photocopier
A self-service photocopier is available at a cost of 25¢ for a regular letter size page.

Inter-Library Loan
Books not in our collection may be obtained through inter-library loan.

Reserved Books
Books not available in our collection may be placed on Reserve. 
The patron's name will be placed on a waiting list to be called when the 
book is available.

Fax Service
Outgoing and incoming fax service: $1.00 per page.
